“Fog Collection Projects” – By Omani’s

Omani’s have build a technology that collects and stores fog droplets. They have collaborated this project with Mitsubishi Corp. The collector is comprised of four 20-m-wide, 3-m-tall nets at opposite ends of a reservoir capable of holding 400 cu m of water. The water which is collected will be used to irrigate plants and can also be used for providing water to animals. If people start understanding the importance of such resources they will automatically use resources in a better way. Thus the water saved will act useful for various drip irrigation system. By the project’s end in 2013, organizers hope to have created a 4-km-long greenbelt of about 1,000 trees. Great contribution to water conservation.
